What is Santa Train?

During the ride, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit with all of the children on the train.  Bring your camera and have your picture taken with them.

And bring your letter to mail in Santa's Mailbox.

Take US-93 south toward Boulder City.  After passing the traffic light at Veterans Memorial Drive, proceed 0.7 miles to Yucca Street (just past the Taco Bell).  Turn left onto Yucca Street. The train station for the Nevada Southern Railway is on your right.  Parking is availble adjacent to the station.

How do we get there?

What can we do while we're waiting?

Ride Ol' 97

Our motorized observation car will take about a dozen people at a time for a ride up into our storage yard.  This "bone yard" is the home for all of our unrestored equipment.  The ride is free, but your all volunteer crews always welcome donations to assist with our restoration projects.

See the EUREKA, built in 1875, running

There is a short section of narrow gauge track parallel to our standard gauge track.  During the four days of Santa Train, the beautiful narrow gauge wood fired steam locomotive EUREKA will be doing demonstration runs (sorry, no riders).

See the model train displays

The Toy Train Operator's Society will have model train layouts in the workshop (across the street from the station), and in a railcar in which they have built a large "East Coast to West Coast" Lionel layout.

They will also have light food - hot dogs, chips, cocoa, cookies, etc. - available for purchase.

For additional ticket information, call Peg at 702-486-5006 (after 10/1/09)

Take family photos in Santa's Sleigh

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the train, so they will leave their sleigh at the station so that you can sit in it and take your family photos.
